Traditional pottery among the M\u2019n\u00f4ng R\u2019l\u0103m and some \u00ca\u0111\u00ea groups reflects long-standing indigenous knowledge and adaptation to the natural environment. The clay is carefully processed, and used without additives to prevent cracking during firing.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n A distinctive feature of this craft is the absence of a potter\u2019s wheel. Artisans shape objects entirely by hand, moving around the piece to form it. Simple tools such as stones, bamboo sticks, cloth, and wood are used to smooth surfaces and create patterns, giving each item a unique character.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n After shaping and drying, the pottery is fired in open-air conditions. Toward the end of firing, rice husk and sawdust are added to produce natural coloration. Common products include pots, bowls, jars, and animal figurines.<\/em>Among the \u00ca\u0111\u00ea Bih, pottery is made using a coiling technique similar to that of the Cham people.
