Trong nghề đan lát truyền thống của cư dân Tây Nguyên, giỏ tre là vật dụng quen thuộc, được sử dụng để đựng và bảo quản các loại hạt giống như lúa, ngô và đậu. Các nan tre được chẻ, vót đều và đan khít, tạo nên chiếc giỏ chắc chắn, thoáng khí nhưng hạn chế ẩm mốc.

In the traditional weaving practices of the Central Highlands, bamboo baskets are commonly used to store seeds such as rice, maize, and beans. The bamboo strips are carefully split, smoothed, and tightly woven to create a sturdy, breathable container that helps prevent moisture buildup.

After harvest, seeds are dried thoroughly, wrapped in small cloth bundles, and placed inside the basket. The basket is then hung above the kitchen hearth, where smoke and warmth help repel insects and keep the seeds dry and safe for the next planting season.
